An absolute classic, made even better with smart details.
It's an oldie, but a goodie, and now it's getting a definitive edition! Thanks to Kickstarter, we got a sneak peek at the new design and cool changes made to one of our all-time favorite board games. If you haven't played Sentinels, you are REALLY missing out.

Some of us are much better at losing together.
When was the last time you had a really great time playing a board game, DESPITE losing... a lot? We played this game a bunch of times, lost EVERY time, and STILL are ready to play it again. That's gotta be the best recommendation for a game, right?
A totally tubular romp through the stars.
It's been a hot minute since we've had a Powered Gaming! While we went in with relatively low expectations (we can only play as Starlord? really?), the resulting game from Eidos-Montreal was incredibly fun (despite the sometimes game-breaking bugs). A great depiction of characters we know and love, this is one we're glad we put on our to-play list.
Not gonna lie, the power is pretty fun to wield...
We're away on a MUCH needed vacation, but we made sure to get a new episode ready to go during our break! We had the chance to sit down and play the Marvel-themed Love Letter iteration centered around the Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos, and it's super fun! A quick, lively romp (and Tee won twice!), you won't be disappointed when you pick this one up.
This game made us gasp and cheer and all the things!
Holy heck, this game is FANTASTIC! A relatively recent release from Unexpected Games, this board game mixes mystery tropes, comics, engaging characters, creative gameplay and well-placed surprises to be one of the most fun games we've played in a long time. But hey, we'll get into all that. In the meantime, what are you waiting for? Go get this game!
Kamala Khan deserves ALL the screen time.
Surprise! It's us, from the past, talking to you, in the present... our future... or... okay, we forgot to post it last week. But hey, here we are with our review of the relatively recently released Marvel's Avengers (we played on PS4). We lay out what's good, what's not as good, and our hope for what they can do to make it better. Also, can we please get a little more hype for a game focused on Kamala Khan? She. Is. Awesome.
I don't think the Avengers were expecting that.
Weekly Pull Highlights: July 15, 2020
The much anticipated Empyre #1 is finally here and it's got a heckin' twist that you won't (or totally will) see coming! We've also got DnD inside jokes galore, and an incredible new Dynamite title you don't want to miss. Also, leave my teenage online diary alone. A villainous take on the traditional Talisman!
Are fantasy games not your bag? Looking for a game that's competitive but not TOO competitive? Ever wish you could go wreck Arkham Asylum and ruin Batman's day? We have a game for you!
Talisman: Batman Super-Villains Edition is a new take on the traditional Talisman game with interesting game design and cool art. It's not without it's flaws (ring balance can definitely be an issue), but game isn't? Find out how our game went (and who won... obviously) in our newest edition of Powered Gaming! For your kids, and your kid's kids, and your kid's kid's kids.
'Tis the season for gift giving, and we want to make it easy to check everyone off your good list! Similar to last year, this month we'll be doing three holiday gift guide episodes, each one focused on a different age bracket. This week, we're covering all the comic, media and gaming goodies you should consider buying for the kids in your life.
Stress has never been so fun!
The premiere of our brand-new segment, Powered Gaming! We'll be bringing you reviews and critiques of board games, card games, video games, and all other playable goodies from the nerd realm. This week, we played the super-fun but super-stressful card game '5-Minute Marvel.' Perfect for those with little time but nerves of steel!
